Sospeso shares its first CD/DVD release with the Arditti
String Quartet, pianist Ursula Oppens, and other celebrated
musicians. Six new recordings of important works by Elliott
Carter, including the first recording of his magnificent
Quintet for Piano and Strings, have been supervised
and authorized by the legendary composer. The DVD version
of the release features a 45-minute conversation with Carter,
Irvine Arditti,
Ursula Oppens, and Sospeso's Joshua
Cody; and Frank Scheffer's film of the Quintet for
Piano & Strings.
The Mode Records
CD/DVD will be available internationally in November 2003.
Join Sospeso and the Arditti
Quartet in New York for the concert
and record release party on Friday, January 30, 2004!
