Sospeso is committed to live performance—but also to recordings. Upcoming releases begin with a new CD/DVD performance of Elliott Carter’s Syringa on the Mode Records release that will also feature world premiere recording of Carter’s Quintet for Piano and Strings, performed by Ursula Oppens and the Arditti Quartet.  The disc will also include a video interview with Mr. Carter, Ursula Oppens, and Irvine Arditti led by Sospeso’s Joshua Cody, and the CD/DVD is among the first classical CDs to be issued in 96/24 audio, plus surround sound option.

Another forthcoming CD, music for chamber orchestra and theremin, includes works written specifically for Sospeso by Christian Wolff, Howard Shore, and Olga Neuwirth.
