Percussionist David Shively has performed as soloist and chamber musician throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Europe, with recent festival appearances including Sounds French (Lincoln Center), Münchener Biennale, Wittner Tage für neue Kammermusik, and Schwerpunkt: Strom! (Zürich). In addition to his work with Ensemble Sospeso, he is co-director of the chamber ensemble Either/Or. As performer, instrument-builder, or sound designer he has worked with artists from a variety of contexts on the development of new works. Recordings and broadcasts include CRI, Wergo, Einstein, Quecksilber, Opus One, and other labels, as well as Swiss, German and Swedish radio.
