Sospeso performed Stephen Mosco's work Bow Vine Song at the Whitney Museum at the start of the 2001-2002 season.

Stephen Mosco has had his music presented both nationally and internationally by the San Francisco Symphony, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Monday Evening Concerts, Contemporary Concerts of Chicago, the Group for New Music of New York, and the California E.A.R. Unit. The founding conductor of the CalArts Twentieth (New) Century Players, Mosko has appeared as guest conductor with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Holland Festival, the Los Angeles Festival 1987, the San Francisco Contemporary Chamber Players, and was Musical Director of the Contemporary Music Week of the 1984 Olympic Arts Festival. 

As a percussionist, he appears with the Repercussion Unit, and is also an expert in the field of Icelandic Folk Music, having received two Senior Fulbright/Hayes Fellowships. He has recorded for the Nonesuch, Crystal, Robey and Opus 1 labels.
