Sospeso
collaborates with lighting designer Miranda Hardy for the Sospeso
Cabaret program on April 16, 2005 at studioseven.
Miranda
Hardy is a lighting designer and makes shadow puppets. Recent projects
include The Top Ten People of the Millenium sing their Favorite
Schubert Leider, Hoplite Diary with Tom Lee, and concert
design for The Festival di Due Mondi, in Spoleto, Italy. She has
also designed for Sospeso, the New York Baroque Company, City Parks
Foundation, Basement Flat, 651 Arts, Richard Foreman, World Music,
Watchdog, John Jesurun, and Mike Taylor. In addition to being a
graduate of the California Institute of the Arts, Miranda is a member
of TENT, a group of performing visual artists who, most recently,
created Oh Sweet Captain or the Ahab Stomp in Portland,
Maine, a work based on Moby Dick. She also worked with
Peter Ksander to create The Stupid Butterfly Project for
the Labapalooza at St Anns Warehouse in 2003.
