2004— 2005 Season
Sospeso's sixth season features an important retrospective
of legendary composer and conductor Pierre
Boulez's music, celebrating his 80th birthday, at our
Zankel Hall debut, with a talk with the composer and new tribute
pieces from Brian Ferneyhough, Thurston Moore, Bruno Mantovani,
DJ Spooky, Marc-Andre Dalbavie, and more; an homage to Luis
Buñuel and Salvador Dalí; new electronic
music by the legendary Morton Subnotnik; a postmodern
cabaret with music by Schoenberg, Bjork and the 'Three
Johns' (Barry, Brahms, and Ashcroft), a thorough investigation
of French yé-yé (grace à nos Sans
Culottes), and more.
