Sospeso is honored to collaborate with the poets John Ashbery and Michel Deguy in producing a unique event that combines modern poetry and modern music. The performance of Mr. Carter's Syringa, by soprano Lucy Shelton and baritone André Solomon-Glover, is the only performance of this seminal work in New York during the yearlong celebrations of Mr. Carter's ninetieth birthday.
